Sophie Dick is a Film and TV editor.

Starting as an assistant editor on features in 2007, she then attended AFTRS in 2010 attaining a graduate diploma in editing. 

In 2011 she moved to Los Angeles and quickly became a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild. She remained in LA for 14 years, actively working in editing across features, tv series, short films and web content.

Sophie has worked in the cutting rooms with directors & producers such as Keanu Reeves, Jon M. Chu, Tig Notaro, Erik Feig, Aza Jacobs, Casey Affleck and Baz Luhrmann.

She has edited the family comedy The Throwback, a YA drama When I’m Ready and more recently Mein Soldat, a foreign language film set in WW2. Some additional editing credits include The Fallout, winning the top prizes at SXSW in 2021 and Am I Ok? which premiered at Sundance in 2022.

In early 2025 she moved home to Sydney to resume her editing career in Australia.

Sophie aspires to edit film, tv and documentary and is passionate about spending her days in visual storytelling, through collaboration, adaptability and hard work.
